The Divine Light of a Lowly Farmer Boy

Ann invited me to write a guest post for her blog, Enlightenment is for Everyone: Exploring Potential From Every Angle. I did so, writing of Joseph Smith’s First Vision experience from a mystical awakening universal divine grace perspective, using the various firsthand and secondhand accounts. My blog post is titled “The Divine Light of a Lowly Farmer Boy.” You may read it on Ann’s blog.

Ann Purcell

Ann Purcell is the author of the book The Transcendental Meditation Technique and The Journey of Enlightenment, from which I’ve cited several “First Vision” accounts. Ann has a friend who is Mormon who sent her a note about my website, ThyMindOMan.com, and Ann contacted me. Through email exchanges I’ve come to know Ann better. She is a kind, wise, humble, and gracious person, who I am grateful to know and call my friend.

I live in a gift economy, so I give all of my time and work freely to you. I depend on your good will and generosity so that my family and I may live, and so that I may continue to write and share insights as we grow to greater consciousness. If you were inspired by this, if it sparked new insight or understanding in you, I invite you to also give, to participate in "the Gift". I accept gifts primarily in the form of credit/debit card donations. It takes only a few moments, by entering the dollar amount in the box below and clicking the blue button to get started. All transactions are processed by Stripe, a secure third-party payment processor. I express my deepest gratitude to you for your Gift!
You may also participate in this community and give in other ways: comment on posts, subscribe to email updates, like the Facebook page, follow my personal Facebook profile, ask to join the community's Facebook group, ask me a question, submit a scripture for me to translate, submit a "First Vision" experience, or contact me to talk about something else, or to offer your gifts in another way. I look forward to getting to know you!
